Trailer Tow Module

The trailer tow module (TTM) is the control unit that manages the trailer lights and hitch control functionality. It provides lamp and LED load diagnostics including trailer detection mechanism. Additionally, safety measures were added to hitch functionality in order to mitigate the potential risks of unwanted swiveling of the hitch during driving.

​The project was rated as ASIL B and developed in cooperation with several automobile manufacturers to create and maintaining a common platform aiming to reduce development costs and time-to-market.
